As we turn the page to September, the local real estate market continues the trends of low inventory, shrinking volume and increasing values. Florida continues to be a top destination for many buyers. A combination of warmer weather, tax benefits and what many consider more affordable housing are helping local values remain strong. Headwinds to the markets nationwide continue to get stronger and are slowing many markets across the country. Despite increases in interest rates, Sarasota continues to be one of the best places to live in America, and is the highest-rated area in Florida.
