If you have lived on Siesta or Lido for more than a season, you already know summer here is not a lull. It is the stretch when the island belongs to residents again, when parking is possible before ten, and when the projects that reshape the shoreline actually get built. This July is more of a hinge than most. Lido Beach just came out of a three-month renourishment, Siesta Village keeps adding food you no longer have to cross the bridge for, and the plan for what happens after Labor Day is already on paper.
